The First National Bank of Louisburg played host to our Jaycee Week display.

Jaycee Week Display
The display had information about recent chapter events, such as the Haunted Forest, Smoki'n for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The display also had information about State and National programs like Get Out the Vote and TOYA with photos of Local State winners DR. Andrew Hill and Max Wood. It also contained our local newsletter, and free brochure's. |

The 11th was a day for several events.The Annual Valentines Day/ Birthday Social again was a hit as always, Happy Birthday Joe & Jennifer ..... Lets see, I do belive Joe is the old fart. |

April 8th & 9th, Emporia Jaycees Cook Off
Team members Lisa C. & Jake Wood work on serving the public some of the good stuff. The catagorys were Brisket, Pork Butt, Chicken, Ribs, Sauage, & homemade BBQ Sauce. While serving the public, the team also had Shrimp, Beans & a Cherry Cobler all made on the cooker. We also served carrots, chips & dip, and watermelon. |

It may not look the best, but it works great. Just an old 300 gallon water tank in it's former life, a couple of cuts here, couple of welds there, add an old axle... and... instant smoker. This was actually made about 6 years ago as another Jaycee project by Joe Wood & Jeff Hubbard. |

April 16th, CP Ranch Walk-A-Thon
The morning was clear, cool & beautiful, a perfect day for a walk at the lake. The local chapter raised .00 for the Ranch. A special thanks to Shelly Moore for her hard work getting her employer, Farmers Insurance, to be an active sponser. |

Congradulations to Paula Bauer on her senatorship, by the way, isn't that the excitement trophey? You say the Senator's won the excitement award.... Good for them, but don't get used to it! |
